I'll whole heartedly admit I
I'll whole heartedly admit I read none of the thread past the first post. I am not much of a Trekkie, other than watching a bit of Voyager, but I have seen just about every episoode of Stargate Atlantis how sad is that?

SG-1 is a better show, but
SG-1 is a better show, but the story and characters from Atlantis are much cooler. SG-U starts this friday.
If you don't really like Star Trek, try Andromeda. A little B-ish as shows go, but quite enjoyable. The Niezcheans are cool as hell.

I didn't care for Herc in
I didn't care for Herc in space but it was ok. Babylon 5 was one of the best space sagas for my two bits. They started it and finnished it the way they set out to do and it worked well. They had plaenty of twists yet they had cohesion in the big picture. Most of the other shows of its type started to introduce elements of large conflict in their plot lines about the same time because of it.

Stargate atlantis sucks
SG-1 is the shit.
I have seen probably every episode of SG-1 lol, thats bad.
Andromeda was awesome too, but I lost track of it about half way through and then had no fraggin clue what was going on.
I think my fav was farscape though, that show was just sweet.
I like space shows in general.

Farscape was the best sci-fi
Farscape was the best sci-fi show ever. The way Crieghton weaves Earth humor into a completely alien universe is like no other sci-fi has ever been able to do. The episode about crackers is the best.
I have all 10 seasons of SG-1.
Babylon 5 had to much religious bias to go much futher than they planned, I think that's why it only went that far. It's spin off, Crusade wasn't all that bad, but it makes my point for me. You can't much more religious than a crusade. But I did enjoy both shows.
Hell, I just wish there were more shows like the ones we've mentioned. Not enough new sci-fi on TV. erks me a bit.

Andromeda was passable until
Andromeda was passable until they basically turned into another shitty action-adventure show with no real point.

I wish they'd make something like Earth: Final Conflict, but actually left it alone and didn't fuck with it at the beginning of each season.

I agree, Atlantis was shit
I agree, Atlantis was shit after a couple of seasons. The whole point of the show was that they were stranded in space.

"Oh, wait, turns out were not stranded anymore, but we'll hang aroung with the life sucking aliens anyway."

My favourite episode of Babylon 5 was Exogenesis.

Never watched Andromeda.

SG-U is coming out here soon too, it has that English guy in it, wearing a bathrobe, so I am not too sure.
